Overview
Develop the skills and knowledge needed to lead successful projects from start to finish with the Post-Baccalaureate Diploma in Project Management. In this two-year program, you’ll learn the project management theories, tools and techniques you need to successfully deliver projects on time and within budget. You’ll also gain industry-relevant skills for your career by selecting a stream of focus in digital marketing, general marketing or supply chain management.
Students who have completed the Post-Degree Diploma in Project Management at Douglas College can transition seamlessly into the PBD without repeating any courses.

This program will meet the educational hours requirement for seven independent industry accreditation examination from the Project Management Institute (PMI), as follows:
Job opportunities
This credential prepares you to manage and lead projects in a wide range of industries, including IT, construction, healthcare, marketing and more. According to the Project Management Institute, over 2.3 million project management jobs will be created each year to meet worldwide demand until 2030.

Please note that you must have a bachelor's degree in order to take a Post-Baccalaureate Diploma at Douglas College.
Admissions Requirements
Applicants must meet the admission requirements listed below:
- General College Admission Requirements
- Applicants must have an undergraduate degree from a recognized post-secondary institution in Canada or an equivalent credential from an approved institution of a different country. Any applicant who earned their credential in a language other than English must meet the Douglas College English language proficiency requirement.

Program Requirements
Graduation Requirements
- Successful completion of 60 credits.
- At least 50% (30 credits) of all coursework must be completed at Douglas College.
- Minimum of 30 upper-level credits.
- A minimum program GPA of 2.00 is required.
- In good academic standing.
- Time limit to complete the program graduation requirements: seven (7) years. Any courses completed outside of that time limit will not be usable. Students may seek the permission of the Department/Program to complete a credential outside the approved time limits.
- Up to 50% (30 credits) of coursework used towards a previously received credential can be used to meet graduation requirements (see the Credentials Awarded Policy and see note 6).
Additional Graduation Requirements with Co-operative Education Option
- Successful completion of 9 additional credits through Co-operative Education I (COOP 1100).
- Students completing the Co-operative Education option may graduate with 69 credits.
- At least 50% (35 credits) of all coursework must be completed at Douglas College.

Notes
1) Students who complete this program will have met all or most of the educational requirements to challenge the following certification exams offered by the Project Management Institute (PMI):
- Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM),
- Project Management Professional (PMP),
- Risk Management Professional (RMP),
- Professional in Business Analysis (PBA),
- Scheduling Professional (SP),
- Agile Certified Practitioner (ACP), and/or
- Portfolio Management Professional (PfMP).
2) The courses, above, have been listed in the recommended order for students to take them. To complete the program efficiently, students need to:
- Make note of courses that are not offered every term to adjust their plans accordingly,
- Take all pre-requisites prior to attempting to register for a given course, and
- Satisfy the pre-requisites that require grades higher than C-.
3) COBA 4885 and COBA 4886 (Experiential Learning and Internship I and II) provide the opportunity for students to gain unpaid work experience and course credit.
4) Students who would like to find out more about Co-Op or internship should send an email to the careercentre@douglascollege.ca at the start of their program.
5) The Co-Op work term is a minimum of 420 hours of work and must be taken through Douglas College's Co-Op program. The timing of the work terms is restricted to the following:
- Can be undertaken only after completion of a minimum of two semesters, 18 credits.
- Cannot be taken in the last semester of the program.
6) If replacement courses are required, students are responsible for:
- Choosing courses that fulfill all graduation requirements; and
- Completing pre-requisites for the replacement courses (i.e., not expect pre-requisite overrides).
Replacement courses should be 3-credits. The following replacement course options are recommended:
- Any course from CBA (i.e., BUSN, ACCT, BLAW, COBA, CSIS, ECON, FINC, HOSP, or MARK);
- From outside CBA, the courses that are listed in the table below;
- Any Modern Language (MODL) course; or
- A similar course, as approved by the Program Coordinator.
