Services provided

  • Assistance with coursework: course assignments, literature search, writing and completing term papers
  • Assistance with APA Style, citations, and references
  • Counsel on designing and conducting experiments

 

  • Assistance with statistics: concepts, calculations, data analysis using statistical software, interpretation of statistical data
  • A research space for students to conduct their experiment
  • Computers equipped with MS-Office, and course relevant software
  • A study space

Lab demonstrations

Lab demonstrations are offered for a variety of psychology courses; these demonstrations offer a hands-on practical experience that both supplements and augments the coursework and lectures experienced by students.

Study Space hours

During "Study Space" hours, the Lab may be used: as a study space; to complete group work; or as drop-in for assistance with coursework.  Appointments (both in-person or virtual) may also be made during "Study Space" hours.  NOTE: Priority for assistance will be given to those students with appointments.

To schedule an appointment, please send your requests to psychlab@douglascollege.ca. Include the following:

  • date, time, and campus for the appointment
  • the course number, section number, and instructor's name
  • a copy of assignment details or course outline
  • a PDF copy of the paper (for paper review)

Study Space hours are posted separately for each campus; the open times will change from week to week. Please check this web page often for current availability.
