AWARDS

The majority of VTEC awards recognize the academic success, community service and/or clinical proficiency of graduating students.

British Columbia Veterinary Technology Association Award of Distinction 

Kristianson Veterinary Technology National Examination (VTNE) Award 
Through the incredible generosity of Karen and John Kristiansen, every student graduating from the Douglas College VTEC program is eligible for an award to cover the cost of the VTNE after graduation.

True North Veterinary Diagnostics Awards Five awards of $1,000 each

BURSARIES

Bursaries are awarded to eligible students in financial need. VTEC specific bursaries include:

The Hardev (Dev) Singh Shergill Adversity into Opportunity Humanitarian Bursary Three bursaries of $3,000 each are available for students in the second year of the Veterinary Technology Program.

HOW DO I APPLY?

To apply for scholarships and bursaries, go to your student MyAccount and submit a single application to be matched with all available bursaries and/or scholarships. The application window for each semester is below:

Fall: Aug. 15 – Sep.15

Winter: Dec 15 – Jan. 17

Summer: April 15 – May 15

For VTEC graduation awards, an application form will be sent to all students by the VTEC awards committee in the final semester of the program.
