If you are looking to be more connected to the Douglas community, learn invaluable skills, and make an impact on your personal life and your community at large, the Student Life Volunteer Program is the opportunity for you.
As part of this team, you will work with Student Life and other departments to support our programming — Orientation, Welcome Week, Graduation, Services Fair, and more — all of which could not happen without our volunteers’ knowledge and enthusiasm to make the Douglas community thrive.
Why apply to the Student Life Volunteer Program?
- Be more connected to the campus community, expand your network, and make a positive impact on your peers' experience at Douglas.
- Join a vibrant community of student volunteers and leaders and make lasting friends and connections.
- You can be as involved as your schedule allows in this low-barrier program.
- Receive recognition/letter of participation for the hours you have contributed (upon request)
Who are you?
- You’re a current Douglas College student enrolled in a minimum of three credits in the Fall 2025 semester.
- You’re understanding, open-minded, and respectful of life experiences different from your own.
- You understand the concept of reciprocity, and whatever you put into the program is what you can get out of it.
- You love to learn new ideas and information that would help you better relate to and serve your fellow students at Douglas.
Your commitment
- Attend one of our New Volunteer Orientation sessions on September 22 (in-person) or September 23 (online), to learn about expectations, responsibilities, diversity and inclusion, safety procedures, and other important topics.
- Engage with enthusiasm in our volunteer opportunities for the Fall 2025.
Join our dynamic community of volunteers and make an impact at Douglas!
