Indigenous Skills for Success Journey, Planting the Seeds for Growth course introduces Canada's Skills for Success framework from an Indigenous cultural perspective. Funded in part by the Government of Canada's Adult Learning, Literacy, and Essential Skills Program, this course is a refresh and redesign of the Aboriginal Essential Skills Journey (aboriginal-essential-skills) course.

PILOT COURSE SESSIONS ▶️ May 2023 to March 2024
Sessions will be offered virtually over five weeks (3 to 4 hours per week) or through condensed versions to enhance the skills of front-line workers to integrate Skills for Success into program delivery with Indigenous Peoples and gain credit towards the Indigenous Skills for Success Practitioner Certificate program.

Background
Indigenous Skills for Success Journey, Planting the Seeds for Growth course introduces Canada's Skills for Success framework from an Indigenous cultural perspective. Funded in part by the Government of Canada's Adult Learning, Literacy, and Essential Skills Program, this course is a refresh and redesign of the Aboriginal Essential Skills Journey
The project has two main goals:
- Provide a train-the-trainer tool for practitioners that offers a culturally appropriate Indigenous perspective to understand and integrate Canada’s Skills for Success model in the education and training services they offer to Indigenous persons.
- Provide tools and resources to help Indigenous learners understand Canada’s Skills for Success model and its applications to their world.
