Through BorderPass, you’ll receive expert guidance, secure document management, and full support for your initial study permit application - including a legal review and submission at no extra cost. This is in addition to ongoing immigration support throughout your studies.​​

As a Douglas College international student, you’ll receive free access to BorderPass services for 12 months, including:

Fees

Douglas College covers your BorderPass membership and legal fees for your initial study permit application​, as well as a study permit extension and post-graduate work permit (PGWP)​. You are only responsible for standard government processing fees.

With BorderPass, you’ll receive lawyer-reviewed study permit services, secure document storage, deadline reminders and ongoing immigration support - all included​ ​during your studies at Douglas College at no extra cost (you only pay government fees).

You’ll receive an invitation from Douglas College with instructions on how to create your BorderPass account and begin your study permit application.

No. Douglas College covers your first-year BorderPass membership and study permit legal services. You only need to pay IRCC government processing and biometrics fees.

​​A Judicial Review is a legal process where a Federal Court reviews a decision made by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) to ensure it was fair and followed the law. It is not a new application - it challenges the process or decision made on an existing application. This is available in the event you ​​receive​​ a refusal on your study permit.
