Fit and Ready for Skills Training
Domestic applications
The Fit and Ready for Skills Training Program is a full‑time program designed for students with barriers to education and employment who are in Grade 12, Grade 12+, or who have recently finished high school. The program supports students in making a successful transition from secondary school into further training or workplace settings.
Throughout the program, students explore post‑secondary education options, examine potential future training pathways, and learn the steps and skills required to pursue additional education or enter the workforce. Classroom learning focuses on identifying personal strengths and interests, developing employment goals, and building essential workplace habits and skills.
Students are also required to complete three in‑house practicum placements, which provide opportunities to further investigate vocational interests and strengthen work‑readiness skills in supported real‑world settings.
