Academic Advising and Financial Planning Services

*New February 2021: Every student now has a Student Success Advisor

Every student registered in at least one course at Douglas College has now been assigned a Student Success Advisor (SSA).  An SSA is available to support students throughout their time at DC, and they can assist with academic and financial planning and support throughout a student's post-secondary journey.

Who is your SSA?

If you are not sure who your SSA is, please email studentsuccess@douglascollege.ca to find out!

Your SSA's can help you in wide variety of school related topics. Check below for the full list regarding services we provide:

What can your SSA's help you with

*Due to the complex nature of university transfer, you are strongly encouraged to confirm course selections with the receiving institution. Douglas College Advisors cannot be held responsible for confirmation of course transferability to receiving institutions.

We would love to help you with everything, however, we are not able to choose your program or your courses for you. Picking a program and selecting courses is something you need to do on your own after careful consideration. You should consider the field or area you would like to work in and what interests you. Consider your strengths. If you want to learn more about a discipline, attend an information session or contact the department for further insight.
