The Language and Academic Immersion Programs are short term intensive programs tailored to meet your needs. Study a blend of academic and language immersion courses all while exploring a new country. Below are some of our current programs:
Japan Hotel School
Since 2012, Douglas College has partnered with the Japan Hotel School to welcome more than 200 students. This 9-month program consists of:
- Full-time study in hospitality courses, aimed to help students understand North American hospitality theory and practice
- English Language Learning and Acquisition (ELLA) courses to help strengthen English-language skills
- Studying for the Test Of English for International Communication (TOEIC)
- Excursions and activities to introduce Canadian culture and life
- Living with a homestay family
Shanghai Normal University
In partnership with Shanghai Normal University, students come to Douglas College to participate in a four-month program. This consists of:
- Full-time study in Sport Science courses alongside other Douglas students
- English Language Learning and Acquisition (ELLA) courses to help strengthen English-language skills
- Excursions and activities to introduce Canadian culture and life
- Living with a homestay family
