Hour of Disunity? Alberta, Quebec, and the State of Canada
A Q&A Session with the Faculty from the Department of History & Political Science

N2201 Lecture Theatre
Everyone welcome!
Contemporary Canada occupies a curious political space. On one hand, the economic aggression and annexationist threats directed at the country from the United States over the last two years have sparked expressions of national solidarity and opposition to American hostility, as seen in the widespread usage of the defiant "elbows up!" slogan. On the other hand, however, separatist movements in Alberta and Quebec represent a challenge — some would say an existential threat — to national unity.
Members of the college community and beyond are invited to join faculty from the Department of History and Political Science for a public forum that will focus on these paradoxical circumstances.
