Looking for exciting, enriching activities for your child during school breaks or on the weekends? Douglas College offers up to 150 dynamic camps and programs designed for kids aged 6–14 in the Coquitlam and New Westminster communities.
Whether your child is a budding athlete, a curious coder, or more creative and artistic, we’ve got something for everyone! Our half or full-day week-long camps run during Spring and Summer breaks, and our evening and weekend programs vary in durations and run 1.5 to 3 hours weekly.
From basketball, soccer, racquet sports, multisport, and volleyball to coding, videogame design, junior computers, smart phone photography, acting for the camera, drama and improv, creative writing, cartooning, mathletes, and student leadership, and more, each experience is crafted to spark curiosity, build confidence, and encourage healthy social and physical recreation. activity.
For ages 6–9: Explore, play, and learn in a safe and supportive environment that nurtures creativity, teamwork and friendship development.
For ages 10–14: Dive deeper into skill-building, leadership, and personal growth through hands-on and engaging activities that offer more challenging opportunities for skills development.

Registration for 2025 Fall programs is now open! Our Winter programs run January 10-March 1, and registration will open November 12.

Our staff are a diverse group comprised of teachers, varsity student-athletes and industry professionals who are committed to providing the best experience for your child.
Locations
Camps are held at the Douglas College New Westminster campus, and the Douglas College Coquitlam campus (David Lam) as well as other parks and facilities in New Westminster and Coquitlam.

Cancellation policy
In the event of low enrolment, or inability to retain a room or facility booking, Douglas College reserves the right to cancel camps. Full refunds will be issued.
No-bullying policy
Douglas College Youth Camps and programs have a strict no-bullying policy. We reserve the right to remove participants who demonstrate bullying of any kind, including gender or racially insensitive behaviour.
Yes. If your child is registered in a morning and afternoon camp during the same week, we will provide transfers to the supervised lunch area, and will ensure they get tot heir next camp safely. NOTE: The transfer service is not included at off-campus activities and programs except for Town Centre Centre Park.
For all off-campus programs in Coquitlam, instructors will walk campers to and from Town Centre Park/Pinetree Community Centre and the Coquitlam Campus. Transportation will not be provided between New Westminster Campus camps and other offsite locations unless specified.
For all camps, we recommend your child pack:
- Lunch, snacks and water bottle
- Money if they will be buying lunch/snacks
- Dress for the weather.
- In hot weather and if outdoors we recommend children bring sunscreen, a hat, sunglasses, a long sleeve option to coverage, and appropriate footwear for the weather and activity
- In cooler weather and if outdoors we recommend children bring warm synthetic or wool layers (avoid cotton), a jacket, rain gear, appropriate footwear for the weather and activity.
For active and recreation-based camps children should bring:
- If indoors, participants are asked to wear appropriate shoes for the activity with non-marking soles.
- Comfortable clothing that is appropriate for the sport (e.g., shorts, shirt, a change of shirt, gym strip)
- Clothing specific to the weather as sometimes we will be in the wind, rain, sun, etc.
- Sporting equipment and supplies will be provided but your child is welcome to bring their own ball, racquet etc. Please ensure the child’s name is on their brought items.
- Please note that Douglas College is not responsible for damage or theft of personal items brought by your child.

A $15 processing fee will be charged for each camp withdrawal. Withdrawal requests must be made at least three business days prior to the start date. There will be no refunds issued after the camp start date.
If you receive a refund please allow 2-3 weeks for the cheque to arrive. The refund cheque will be made out in the name of the "student" as is required for all academic institutions. Use an electronic ATM or online banking to easily deposit the refund.

The new Hot Lunch program provides a different hot meal each day of camps. This rotating menu accommodates meat and vegetarian options, but cannot provide substitutions for allergies, food sensitivities, or cultural or religious reasons. Please note that there are no tree nuts used in our Hot Lunch menu.
