Program Overview

This fully online program allows you to complete your course work anywhere and provides you with strategies and a solid foundation for taking the next step in your professional development as a Career Development Practitioner. Courses in the program incorporate leading edge research, ideas and best practice ideas from across the sector nationally and globally. Graduates of the CDP Advanced Certificate program will enhance their current experience, skills and knowledge to meet the competencies required to advance their careers.

Curriculum

The full certificate program currently consists* of four (4) courses and one (1) elective (ACDP 500). Take all four to receive your certificate or one or two for professional development. All courses are offered in a fully online learning format.

*This may change after the program review process is complete. 

If you are a graduate of the Douglas College Career Development Practice Certificate Program, you will have already completed ACDP 100, Case Management, and will be exempted from taking this course again.

Program Admission

There is no formal admission process for the Career Development Practice Advanced Certificate program.

Participants who wish to complete all courses to receive the certificate are asked to let Continuing Education know their intentions when they register.

Program Costs

  • The total tuition cost to complete all four required courses is $2072.00 ($518.00 per course) - note anticipated tuition increase of 2% in the 2022-23 academic year.
  • Course materials will be provided online at no additional charge.
