LINC, or Language Instruction for Newcomers to Canada, provides English training for adults new to Canada. Douglas College offers Workplace LINC Levels 5 and 6 at the Surrey Training Centre and the Coquitlam campus. The cost-free program is funded by Immigration, Refugees & Citizenship Canada.
Workplace LINC 5/6 combines language instruction with classes on how to prepare for working in Canada and be a successful employee. Computer skills are also included. This popular program is for newcomers who are motivated to build up their English language skills in order to enter the labour market.
You are eligible for Workplace LINC 5/6 if you are a LINC 4/5 graduate or have received placement recommendation determined by the LINC Language Assessment Centre or a designated LINC school. If you want to take Workplace LINC 5/6, you should be intending to enter the labour market.
To improve language skills and prepare for the workplace in Canada,
students receive instruction to:
13769 - 104th Avenue (Beside Long & McQuade)
Room A1410 - 1250 Pinetree Way
