Co-operative Education

Co-operative Education (Co-op) integrates academic studies with related work experience. After completing 18 credits Co-op students can alternate semesters of classroom studies with semesters of paid, full-time employment. This is a beneficial experience for Co-op students because they are more likely to find jobs in their field when they graduate.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

Applying for Co-op is as easy as 1, 2, 3! Once you meet the prerequisites below your application will be approved if you complete this three-step process.

Co-op prerequisites:

  1. Have a Douglas College GPA of 2.33 (C+) or better;
  2. Completed 18 program-related credits;
  3. Be registered for a further 9 credits in the current term in one of the following programs:
    • Accounting Management
    • Business Management
    • Commerce and Business Administration (formally UT Commerce and Business)
    • Computing Studies and Information Systems
    • General Business
    • Marketing Management
    • Post - Baccalaureate Diploma Accounting
    • Post - Baccalaureate Diploma Computer and Information Systems
    • University Transfer Arts University Transfer Science
    • Bachelor of Business Administration
    • Bachelor of Physical Education and Coaching
