Application Process

Students entering the Sign Language Interpretation program must already have a foundation in American Sign Language. To attain required fluency, students are encouraged to complete an accredited program in ASL and Deaf Studies before applying.

Hands-On Experience

As a student in the Program of Sign Language Interpretation you will complete three (3), one-month practicum placements during your final semester, when you will be teamed with professional interpreters in their work settings.

Program Outcomes

Graduates of the Program of Sign Language Interpretation program will be able to interpret meaning, communicate bilingually, act bi-culturally, act ethically, practice self-care and use appropriate business skills.
