Amelia Douglas Gallery exhibit: Invisibles y desechables. Temporary Foreign Farm Workers. Life and Rituals After Work
July 09, 2024 - September 06, 2024 4:30 pm - 4:00 pm
Get a glimpse into the lives of one of the most vulnerable labour groups in Canada – temporary foreign workers – at the new Amelia Douglas Gallery exhibit.
Vancouver-based Mexican artists Luz Rosas and Carlos Colín co-created the exhibit “Invisibles y desechables. Temporary Foreign Farm Workers. Life and Rituals After Work.” Translating to “Invisible and disposable,” this collaboration aims to raise awareness of the discrimination and exploitation these workers face in their daily lives.
This exhibit runs July 9–Sept. 6.
