Waste Reduction Week - Circular Economy and Textile Tuesday

Come celebrate Waste Reduction Week and Circular Economy Month!

Coquitlam Campus, atrium:

• Pick up some free, new-to-you, pre-loved threads at our clothing giveaway 10am-3:30pm.
• Drop off small electronics, pens, cosmetics, shaving products (blades, razors and plastic packaging), oral care (mouthwash, floss packages, toothpaste tubes and toothbrushes), empty vape cartridges and pods at our recycling depot 10am-3:30pm.
• Learn about the high cost of fast fashion and more with documentary screenings (The True Cost, River Blue, Made in Bangladesh) 10am-3pm.
• Swing by and tell us how you battle fast fashion to be entered to win a prize package from Unmedicore. Bonus entries if you show us your reusable mug, cup, bag, straws or more.

New Westminster Campus, concourse:

- Learn about the circular economy with documentary and TED Talk screenings (Closing the Loop, This Changes Everything, What Is a Circular Economy?, A Healthy Economy Should be Designed to Thrive, Not Grow) 10am-3pm.
