How Douglas College’s supportive community helped Doyin Agbaje graduate as valedictorian
The vast number of course options and affordable classes led Doyin Agbaje to pursue the Commerce & Business Administration program at Douglas College and receive her Bachelor’s Degree.
From the very start, Doyin felt supported by her instructors and peers at Douglas College, which she says helped her graduate as Valedictorian. Alongside making impressive academic achievements, she served the student body on the College’s board, building valuable leadership skills and relationships that are useful in her life after graduation and in her career.
Studying at Douglas empowered Doyin to pursue her love of community building and bringing people together. Now, as a recent graduate, she has already attained a job as a Marketing Associate for Apple. As the company’s Marketing Associate, she focuses on how the brand presents itself to the world and works to showcase uniqueness and authenticity, just as she does herself. This commitment to displaying individuality can be seen through her creation of the Black Block Party, an event that celebrates Black culture, talent and uniqueness.
Looking to the future, Doyin plans to dive into global politics and leadership through a Master’s in Public Policy.
