Research

Research projects are periodically running in the Psychology department. Recruitment for the studies occurs at various times throughout the year, but most studies occur February-March. Up-to-date information on research studies can be found in the Psychology student communication centre on Blackboard.

Course credit: Some Psychology/SOSC instructors are offering bonus/participation credit for participation in Psychology department research studies. Please check with your instructor to find out if they are offering credit before you sign up for a study. If you are enrolled in one of these courses and you would like to participate, you can create an account and sign up for studies on the SONA system.

If no studies have available timeslots in SONA when you happen to look, you may want to log on to the system a few days later to see if new timeslots have been added.

If you wish to earn research credit, but you cannot for reasons of exclusion criteria (or any other reason), you may complete an alternative assignment.

If you are not enrolled in a course whose instructor is offering credit, you may still be able to participate in the studies. Contact the researcher whose study you are interested in.
