Collaborative Online International Learning

Collaborative Online International Learning (COIL) connects students and professors in different countries for collaborative projects and discussions as part of coursework. COIL collaborations between students and professors provide meaningful, significant opportunities for global experiences and connections. When compared to a field exchange program, COIL offers post-secondary institutions a cost-effective way to engage their students globally.

COIL Project Examples

  • Semester-long courses
  • Case studies and research collaborations
  • Single modules from three to 15 weeks in length
