Build on your background in computer science with courses that give you applied, hands-on learning with the latest technologies. In this intensive, one-year program, you’ll gain the specialized technical skills in networking, mobile application development and cloud infrastructure you need to jump-start your career as a computer programmer, web designer and developer, user support technician, mobile software developer, interactive media developer and more.

Admissions Requirements

Applicants must meet the admission requirements listed below:

  • General College Admission Requirements
  • Applicants must have an undergraduate degree from a recognized post-secondary institution in Canada or an equivalent credential from an approved institution of a different country. Any applicant who earned their credential in a language other than English must meet the Douglas College English language proficiency requirement.
  • Applicants must have either:
    • taken at least one programming course and one other technology related course OR
    • completed the PDD-ICT program at Douglas College.

Curriculum Framework

Graduation Requirements For Students Completing By Summer 2023:

  • Successful completion of 30 credits
  • 70% (21 credits) of all coursework must be completed at Douglas College
  • Courses taken in the undergraduate degree (bachelor level) or in the PDD-ICT cannot be used in the PDD-ET: that is, no transfer credit will be given for courses taken in the Bachelor's degree or in the PDD-ICT.
  • Time limit to complete program graduation requirements: four (4) years

Graduation Requirements For Students Completing After Summer 2023:

  • Successful completion of 30 credits
  • 70% (21 credits) of all coursework must be completed at Douglas College
  • A minimum of 2.0 program GPA is required
  • Courses taken in the undergraduate degree (bachelor level) or in the PDD-ICT cannot be used in the PDD-ET: that is, no transfer credit will be given for courses taken in the Bachelor's degree or in the PDD-ICT.
  • Time limit to complete program graduation requirements: four (4) years
  • Effective September 2024: Up to 50% (15 credits) of coursework used towards a previously received credential can be used to meet graduation requirements (see the Credentials Awarded Policy).
