In 2007, Dr. Colin Campbell, Faculty Emeritus and Judith Osborne established the Brodie Osborne-Campbell Memorial Scholarship to honour the life of their son, Brodie Osborne-Campbell. Brodie was a 15-year-old Grade 10 student at Charles Best Secondary School in Coquitlam, who passed away from bacterial meningitis. He was the beloved son and only child of Dr. Colin Campbell, a former instructor at Douglas College’s Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences (HSS), Criminology Department, and Judith Osborne.

For the past 15 years, the Brodie Osborne-Campbell Memorial Scholarship has provided a $3,000 scholarship every year to a Criminology student at Douglas College. November 2022 marked the scholarship's 15th anniversary, and during the award ceremony, Ashley Mackenzie Oliver was recognized for her outstanding academic achievements in Criminology and awarded the Brodie Osborne-Campbell Memorial Scholarship.

Endowed awards provide lifelong impact and strengthen pathways for students in perpetuity. The Brodie Osborne-Campbell Memorial Scholarship is an example of the significant impact that an endowed award can make for Douglas College students.
