Academic and Professional Profile

As a registered psychologist with a practice in clinical and forensic psychology, I specialize in the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of psychological difficulties across adult, adolescent, and youth populations. My professional practice includes clinical assessment and intervention services addressing clinical disorders, personality disorders, and other mental health concerns. I also provide forensic assessments and consultations in criminal and civil contexts with courts, legal counsel, offenders, defendants, and victims of crime. In my academic role, I teach primarily in clinical psychology, psychological assessment, counselling theories, developmental psychopathology, forensic psychology, personality psychology, and data analysis and statistics. I am fortune to be able to integrate my clinical experience with my teaching at Douglas College.

Teaching Concentrations

My teaching focuses primarily on clinical psychology, psychological assessment, counselling theories, and developmental psychopathology. I have also taught in areas of forensic psychology, personality psychology, and data analysis and statistics. Across these courses, I emphasize evidence-based practice, critical thinking, and the integration of research and applied perspectives.

Research/Clinical Activities

My research and clinical interests are diverse. I have been interested in the etiological factors of personality and personality disorders, mitigating factors in problematic symptomatology in clinical disorders, structured professional guidelines in clinical psychology practice, socio-emotional impacts of social media, and the impacts of artificial intelligence on the delivery of clinical services and the future of psychological practice. I supervise undergraduate honours research students at Douglas College. I also provide research supervision to doctoral students and clinical supervision to clinical graduate students at other post-secondary institutions.
