The courses offered in Douglas College upgrading range from fundamentals right to college-prep.
Assessment sessions are used to place you in the course best suited to your needs, past experience and your current skills. Placement depends on your performance on an assessment and an interview with an instructor. The assessments are not pass/fail and are used only for placement.
Assessments are offered throughout the Fall, Winter and Summer semesters on both College campuses. Register by calling one of the numbers below.
Assessments take about an hour depending on how long you take to write the assessment and complete an interview. You will leave the assessment knowing exactly which course you will be registering for.
It is important to register early to be sure you get an assessment session close to your registration date.
Our Math practice tests are available for the Algebra Assessment and the Basic Math Assessment.
Use the links or contact one of the numbers below for details about obtaining a copy. Take a look at these practice tests, but please don't spend hours studying for our assessment. What you don't know is an important part of your correct placement.
