About the program

The MA Physical Education, Sport and Physical Literacy (MAPESPL) program at the University of Wales - Trinity St. David (UWTSD) Camarthen campus builds on your completed Graduate Diploma in Physical and Health Education from Douglas College. Successful applicants will attend a two week research methods summer institute in Carmarthen, Wales, where they will study physical and health education research methods and complete a formal research proposal. Candidates then complete the data gathering, writing and reporting of their thesis from home with ongoing support from UWTSD faculty members located both in Vancouver and Wales. The program is designed for working teachers who demonstrate the self-direction and discipline to complete independent studies and projects while working. The program is housed within the University of Wales, School of Sport, Health and Outdoor Education in picturesque South Wales.
