The Diploma in General Studies allows you to explore your interests through courses in the humanities, sciences, performing arts and business, all while accumulating credits that - when chosen carefully - can transfer to university or another program at Douglas. Graduation Requirements For Students Completing By Summer 2023:

  • Successful completion of 60 credits
  • Must include one university-transfer English or Communications course
  • A minimum of two courses from at least three different faculties
  • A maximum of 15 credits in one subject as defined by the four-letter course abbreviation (ex. BIOL, CRIM, ECON, etc.)
  • Time limit to complete program graduation requirements: seven (7) years
Graduation Requirements For Students Completing After Summer 2023:
  • Successful completion of 60 credits
  • Must include one university-transfer English or Communications course
  • A minimum of two courses from at least three different faculties
  • A maximum of 15 credits in one subject as defined by the four-letter course abbreviation (ex. BIOL, CRIM, ECON, etc.)
  • 50% (30 credits) of all coursework must be completed at Douglas College
  • Graduate in Good Academic Standing (Cumulative GPA of 1.50 – See Academic Performance Policy)
  • Time limit to complete program graduation requirements: seven (7) years
