Credentials and ways to study

At Douglas College, we offer a variety of ways to pursue higher education. Browse below to get more information about the credentials we offer, as well as our flexible study options.

Associate degrees

Associate degrees take two years to complete. If planned carefully, with a university program in mind, you can transfer all 60 credits to year three or four of a university degree.

Bachelor's degrees

A bachelor's degree recognizes you for completing a group of courses in a career or academic specialty. It's usually 120 credits (40 courses) and takes about four years of full-time study to complete.

Career programs prepare you to enter a new job or upgrade to a higher position in as few as one to two years. Most program are offered full-time as well as part-time to fit your busy schedule.

Get a head start on your post-secondary education. Take first-year arts and science courses and earn university transferable credits while still in your final year of high school.

Part-time studies

Reach your educational goals, even if you're busy with other responsibilities. As a part-time student, you'll take one to three courses per semester. Choose afternoon or evening classes.
