Alison McDonald teaches professional and workplace communication and serves as Chair of the Communications Department. She is an internationally recognized, award‑winning educator, with expertise in professional writing, strategic communication, and post‑secondary curriculum and program development. Alison's industry experience connects classroom learning with real‑world communication practices, and her teaching is informed by her doctoral research exploring relationships between subjectivity, modes of representation, and selfhood. She takes a reflective, relationship‑centred approach to teaching, encouraging students to build audience awareness, adaptability, and confidence in their own voices.
