The Douglas College COVID-19 Emergency Fund is available to domestic and international students who can demonstrate an urgent or unexpected financial need as a direct result of COVID-19. Eligible students will receive a one-time disbursement of funds to help cover their extenuating costs. It is not meant to replace government-funding programs such as Canadian Emergency Response Benefit (CERB), Canada Emergency Student Benefit (CESB), the temporary rent supplement program, or student loan programs thus, will not be provided as a wage subsidy.
Please review the available resources below for financial support that may help with income supplementation. Student Success Advisors will consider requests for Emergency funding based on your situation and demonstrated financial need, when other resources have been exhausted.

If you are ineligible to receive funds from the options listed above, we may be able to assist you. Students facing a demonstrated urgent financial need, may contact our Student Success Advisors. Student Success Advisors will get in touch with you to help you manage your individual situation and explore options for short-term critical financial assistance due to COVID-19. The one-time disbursement from our Emergency Fund will help students that are facing an immediate financial need.
