Upon completion of the program, you will be prepared for many different roles in the building industry, depending on your previous experience. Additionally, graduates of this program will:
- Enable the optimal use of: electricity, natural gas, water, materials, transportation and human labour in maintaining and improving building systems and activities
- Contribute to energy and resource management plans, prioritize specific issues in the organization and develop parameters for appropriate energy and environmental policies
- Facilitate implementation by their knowledge of current sources of funding and incentives for energy and resource conservation
- Apply knowledge of utility rate structures, bulk contract purchases, billing errors, consumption variances and energy service contracts in support of optimizing energy consumption
