(Pre-calculus placement) Math Assessment Schedule

PLEASE BE ADVISED THAT DOUGLAS COLLEGE HAS TEMPORARILY SUSPENDED FACE-TO-FACE STUDENT SERVICES. YOUR (PRECALCULUS PLACEMENT) MATH ASSESSMENT IS NOW AVAILABLE ONLINE VIA BLACKBOARD AND RESPONDUS LOCKDOWN BROWSER AND MONITOR. 

Please note that Blackboard no longer supports Internet Explorer but use of Chrome or Firefox.

Summer 2020

Available on Douglas College Blackboard to take at your convenience until August 19, 2020 at 11:59 p.m.

We strongly advise that if you need this for course pre-requisites, you should write your test before priority registration starts on June 23, 2020 so that you do not risk classes filling before you have written your assessment. The test offer will expire as of 11:59 pm on August 19, 2020, when this semester ends, whether you have completed it or not. You have the choice of when you take it, within the above parameters.

Book your assessment  

What you will need:

1. Your student number. If you do not have a student number, you will need to apply to the College, pay your application fee and be assigned a student number.

2. The name of the assessment test you need to take. (i.e. for Math, the program you have applied to and/or the Math course you want to register into).

3. A Webcam on a laptop or PC.

Please note that registration of cancellation of assessments must be done 24 (business) hours in advance of the scheduled date and time.

What to do:

Contact the Registrar's Office - using Zoom, by telephone at 778-907-2017 Meeting ID: 332-252-2062, then press # to bypass participant code, or by email at regoffice@douglascollege.ca.  For detailed contact information see https://www.douglascollege.ca/study-at-douglas/register/canadian-students/registrars-office-hours).

Provide the Registrar's Office with your: full name, student number, test you need to take, whether you are Webcam (on laptop of PC) ready, your email address, your date of birth, the semester you require your assessment for.

What will happen:

You will be placed on a waitlist by priority:

  • First those requiring assessment for admission to a program or pre-requisite for course(s) for Summer 2020 semester. 
  • Second those requiring assessment for admission to a program or pre-requisite for course(s) for Fall 2020 semester.

You will receive an email from Assessment Services when your assessment is available providing you with all of the information and instructions you will require for taking your assessment.

You can expect your results to be emailed to you and entered onto your student record normally within 72 (business) hours after completion.
