Advising Services

Whether you're looking for help with a personal or academic issues, study permit & visa applications, Douglas International offers a variety of services to help you succeed. 


International Academic Advising

Appointments

Academic Advising is available on a daily basis. We offer online sessions as needed for 15-20 minutes on a first-come, first-served basis. You can register up to 30 minutes prior to each drop-in period. International Academic Advising is offered in collaboration with the Registrar's Office

We understand students are asked to practice good social distancing. During this time we are offering email and online advising by appointment or by drop in. Please email dciadvising@douglascollege.ca with your name, email, student ID, and program and we will get back to you as soon as possible.

Step 2: The advisor will answer as much as possible through email
Step 3: If needed, your advisor will send you a link to book an online appointment

Drop-in Sessions
Drop-in via Zoom (Meeting ID 941-2016-0193)

Step 1: Log into Zoom using the Meeting ID 941-2016-0193
Step 2: Wait in the waiting room and fill out the drop-in form while you wait
Step 3: An advisor will meet with you to discuss your needs and connect you with the correct department

Monday - Friday 10:30am - 11:30am; 2:00pm - 3:00pm 

Session length: 15-20 minutes. You can sign in 30 minutes before each drop-in session. Appointments are also available by request via email. 

Immigration Advising

Immigration Advising is still available on a daily basis. We offer online sessions as needed for 15-20 minutes on a first-come, first-served basis. You can register up to 30 minutes prior to each drop-in period.

International Education Advisors

Education advisors can help with general resource advising. 

We understand students are asked to practice good social distancing. During this time we are offering email and online advising by appointment only. Please email dci@douglascollege.ca with your name, email, student ID, program, and study permit expiry date and we will get back to you as soon as possible.


Counselling

Being a new international student can feel overwhelming and sometimes lonely. We offer three types of one-on-one confidential support for whenever you need it. Visit our Counselling page to connect with a counsellor.
