Advising Services

Whether you're looking for help with a personal or academic issues, study permit & visa applications, Douglas International offers a variety of services to help you succeed. 


Academic Advising

Academic Advising is still available on a daily basis. We offer drop-in sessions as needed for 15-20 minutes on a first-come, first-served basis. When you arrive, you will be asked to register by completing an advising drop-in form. You can register up to 30 minutes prior to each drop-in period. International Academic Advising is offered in collaboration with the Registrar's Office. We understand students are asked to practice good social distancing. During this time we are offering email and online advising by appointment only. Please email dciadvising@douglascollege.ca with your name, email, student ID, and program and we will get back to you as soon as possible. 


Immigration Advising

International Student Advisors offer study permit and visa related advice for current internationals students. Drop-in sessions are available as normal at the International Office on a first-come, first-served basis. Note that drop-in is 15 minutes/session, and we are only able to meet a limited number of students during drop-in sessions. You can register up to 30 minutes prior to each drop-in period.

International Education Advisors

Education advisors can help with general resource advising. Available daily on a first-come, first-serve basis in the International Office.

Counselling

Being a new international student can feel overwhelming and sometimes lonely. We offer three types of one-on-one confidential support for whenever you need it. Visit our Counselling page to connect with a counsellor.
