Ask a Question!

The Ask a Tutor service is a quick and easy way to send an online tutor a general question about your writing. The tutors are trained to answer questions in the following areas: grammar, writing, and study skills. Online tutors reply within 48 hours.

An email response from a tutor may be diverted to your SPAM or JUNK folder, so if you don't see an email from us in your inbox, check the folder that contains your filtered email. If you have trouble submitting your question, please email onlinetutor@douglascollege.ca to let us know.

If tutors can't help you with your question, they will try to give you ideas about where else to look for information. Some additional options are below.

Stop by the Learning Centre

During our open hours, we often have time between sessions to answer a quick question. If your question is more involved, we can help you set up an appointment with a tutor or find a resource to answer it.

Ask a librarian

Librarians are available to answer your research and citation questions by email, chat, text and appointment.

Talk to your instructor

Your instructor will usually provide his or her preferred contact methods for questions at the beginning of the semester, whether it be chatting before or after class, during posted office hours and/or by email (the Purdue Online Writing Lab provides helpful tips about email etiquette for students).

Any information you submit to the Learning Centre is kept confidential.
