Douglas College is transitioning from face-to-face to phone support until further notice.
The Office of Student Support and Conduct works with the Douglas community to identify students in distress or address disruptive student behaviour. The office works collaboratively with students, faculty and campus partners, to help resolve disputes in a restorative and respectful manner. Our office receives and processes student conduct complaints while offering consulting and advising to faculty and staff regarding potential (and/or actual) student conduct cases and incidents. We meet with students to resolve student conduct incidents and answer their questions about the student conduct process. Where possible our goal is to help student's learn from conduct incidents. To that end we may provide guidance, referral for support, case management or educational resources that can help students gain insights into their conduct. Additionally, we train and educate staff, faculty, and students about the student conduct process and student rights and responsibilities. Our goal is to foster an environment that is safe, supportive, inclusive, fair, and conducive to learning.
