The Centre for Educational and Information Technology (CEIT) produces Clinical ID badges at the New Westminster and David Lam campuses for students in the faculties of Health Sciences and Child, Family and Community Studies (CFCS). These badges are required for authorized access during practicums.
Students who are eligible to receive a Clinical ID Badge for their practicum experience will have their name put on a list that authorizes CEIT to produce a Clinical ID Badge. If a student’s name is not on the list, he or she will be required to have a Departmental Assistant or Instructor from their program email verification of eligibility to CEIT. No exceptions will be made.
Clinical ID Badges are produced for new and returning students in September or January. All returning students are required to obtain a new badge in September each year. Effective April 1, 2015 the replacement card cost is $20.00 (cash only).
Clinical ID Badges can be obtained throughout the semester by calling 604.527.5662 or 604.527.5653.
In January, practicum students are issued a clinical decal. These decals are valid until the end of August of the current academic year.
Decals can be obtained at either the New Westminster or David Lam campus. Students must bring their current Clinical ID Badge with them to obtain a decal. There is no charge for these decals.
