Update your college network access password

Your College Network Access (CNA) credentials provide access to the College computers and Wi-Fi, Office 365, U-Pass BC on Compass Card, Learning Centre website, Career Centre and Citrix. Since the CNA credentials allow access to so many services, it’s important to ensure your login is as secure as possible.

Douglas College requires you to set up a password with 15 or more characters. Using a passphrase — a sequence of random words that may contain mixed case, numbers and punctuation (e.g. BestApplePieParis2009 or NeverWatchedAmericanIdol!) – will make it easier to remember. If you’re not yet using a passphrase, consider changing it to one now.

How to reset your CNA password

If you remember your password and are using a College computer on campus:

  1. Press Ctrl + Alt + Delete, and click Change a password.
  2. Enter your current password.
  3. Enter your new password or passphrase, which must be at least 15 characters (for increased security, include capital letters and/or symbols).
  4. Click the arrow button to submit the change.
NOTE: Windows will confirm that your password was successfully changed.
  5. Click OK to return to your desktop.

If you ever forget your password, you'll need to have a personal email registered for CNA password reset:

  1. Go to https://sspr-reg.douglascollege.ca to register an email.
  2. Enter your CNA credentials.
  3. Click Login, then Next.
  4. Enter your password again, and click Next.
  5. If your email address listed is in the format @portal.douglas.bc.ca, you must enter a new personal email address that doesn’t end with @student.douglascollege.ca or @douglascollege.ca
  6. If your email address is not listed, enter a new personal email address following the previous recommendation.
  7. Click Next to register this email.
    NOTE: Your email is registered.

Now you can reset your CNA password:

  1. Go to https://sspr.douglascollege.ca to reset your password.
NOTE: Resetting it will affect all services using the same password (e.g., Office 365, Wi-Fi and Compass Card).
  2. Enter your username, and click Next.
NOTE: a new screen will ask for a security code that has just been sent to the email registered at
  3. Enter the security code found in your email, and click Next.
  4. Enter and re-enter your new password, which must be at least 15 characters (for increased security, include capital letters and/or symbols).
  5. Click Next.
NOTE: You can log in with the new password.

Any future password resets will be sent to this address when using the Self-Service Password Reset. If you have any questions, please contact the CEIT Help Desk at 604 527 5330 or helpdesk@douglascollege.ca
