Children accepted for enrollment will be between the ages of 30 months to 5 years of age. Due to licensing regulations, we have two spaces available in each program for children between 30 to 36 months of age, We have enrollment throughout the year providing there are spaces available
Douglas College Early Childhood Centres will maintain a waiting list. When there are vacancies, new children will be accepted. The parents/guardians on the wait list will be contacted to ensure they are still requesting a space. Families will be not be discriminated against based on race, language, socio-economic status, gender or sexual orientation.
Priority for admission to the centres are:
1. Children currently enrolled in the program.
2. Siblings of children already enrolled
3. Children of Douglas College students
4. Children of College faculty, employees and College board members
5. Children of Community families
Part time Enrollment
Upon registration, each child is enrolled with a set schedule of attendance for part-time children. Any part time admission must be approved by the General Manager and the staff. Requests for changes should be made in writing as early as possible. All schedule changes must be authorized by the program supervisor. It will be accommodated if space is available.

Full Time Care
2.5 yrs to 3 yrs. old
3 yrs. to 5 yrs. old
Part time Care – 3 days/wk.
Part Time Care – 2 days/wk.

When enrolling your child in the program it is advisable to allow sufficient time for gradual entry. Entry requirements can be arranged with the Program Supervisor on an individual basis.
When a child is to be withdrawn, at least one month's notice will be required in writing at the first of the month. In lieu of one month's notice, one month's fees must be paid.
We truly believe in establishing supportive, responsive partnerships with families. Families are welcome to be volunteers, resource persons, serve on the Board and active participants in work parties/meetings.
Our childcare staff are certified, licensed Early Childhood Educators and in some cases, specializing in Special Needs. The staff are required to have current, validated BC License to Practice and a valid Child Safe First Aid Certification.
Practicum students will be accepted into the centre based upon the needs and best interest of children enrolled in the program and the discretion of the Program Supervisor and General Manager
