NEW WESTMINSTER CAMPUS FITNESS CLASS SCHEDULE:

CHRIS JOHNSON FITNESS CENTRE, INTRAMURALS, RECREATION AND FITNESS CLASSES COVID-19 UPDATE: 

In response to the evolving situation with COVID-19, the Chris Johnson Fitness Centre at the New West Campus will close effective at 4:30pm today (March 16, 2020.) All recreation and intramurals programming held at the New West campus are suspended until further notice. 

Due to the rapidly evolving nature of the COVID-19 pandemic, please check the Douglas College website for the most updated news and information.

Douglas College is pleased to announce the Virtual Fitness Class Schedule. 

*Note: You must register for the class 48hr in advance by clicking the zoom link

Monday:

  • 4:30pm - 5:30pm Yoga Core with Klerya | Register in advance for this class by clicking HERE

Tuesday:

  • 12:30pm - 1:30pm HIIT with Anya | Register in advance for this class by clicking HERE

Wednesday:

VIRTUAL FITNESS CLASS DESCRIPTIONS 

YOGA CORE: The best of both worlds. Stabilize, mobilize and increase the mind-body union through a combination of Yoga, Pilates and core strengthening routines. 

HIIT: We want you fit and have you challenge your mind and body. This high intensity interval training class combines strength, muscle endurance, flexibility, core and functional movement patterns. We recommend a moderate level of fitness for this class. 

YOGA: Breathing exercises to cleanse, postures to strengthen and relaxation for the mind and body. Yoga uses bodily postures (asanas), breathing techniques (pranayama), and meditation (dyana) with the goal of bringing about a sound, healthy body and a clear peaceful mind.

BOOTCAMP: A full body workout designed for the aspiring athelte in all of us! This class combines interval training and strength exercises. Be prepared to work up a sweat. 

DANCE: A dance-fitness class that combines all elements of fitness - cardio, muscle, conditioning, balance and flexibility, boosted energy and a serious dose of awesome each time you leave class.
