Get Healthy

Healthy living is a key factor of happiness and well-being. It also contributes to being a successful student and productive employee.

‘Get Healthy’ is where you’ll find programs, services, schedules and everything that contributes to your overall health at Douglas College.

Location + Dates:

  • New Westminster Concourse on Thursday, Feb 22nd from 10:00am - 3:00pm
  • Coquitlam Campus Atrium on Wednesday, March 21 from 10:00am - 3:00pm

There are 4 ways to participate in this years event:

  1. "Cycle" through the concourse and atrium visiting a variety of health booths to learn and collect prize ballots that will all go into an exciting prize draw!
  2. JOIN THE RIDE by getting on a spin bike and cycling as far as your time and energy allows to reach the college-wide goal of 2,000km! That's right, collectively, we are looking to cycle across British Columbia (North to South.) Spin bikes will be set up in the concourse with an additional RIDE class from 2:00pm - 2:50pm (you can register for a spot in the Fitness Centre) *New Westminster campus only.
  3. Complete a health services questionnaire. Let the volunteers know at the Health Fair booth that you've completed the questionnaire (they will confirm the submission with your student/employee number.) Once confirmed, you will receive two prize tickets.
  4. Take part in the Aboriginal Medicine Wheel Health Workshop from 12:30pm-1:30pm (lunch included) -- register HERE!
