Travis has over 15 years of executive management experience. This experience includes developing and managing a training program to support entrepreneurs launching an e-commerce business. He is currently the owner of AquaSport West, an aquatic supply company selling to retail clients, teams and municipal aquatic centres. Travis’ favorite part of being a consultant is the excitement and passion that entrepreneurs bring to the program. Travis holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree, with a Major in Economics.
Debbie is an entrepreneur several times over having owned a real estate franchise and an import/export business. With years of award-winning sales experience and management, Debbie offers sales training and presentations through her company "Debbie Palmer Presents". As a Business Consultant with the SE Program, Debbie delights in working with upcoming entrepreneurs in the development of their businesses and personal growth. Debbie holds a Provincial Instructor Diploma and mentors for the CYBF and the Women's Enterprise Centre.
Maria Boublil has broad range of experience in business development and self-employment. Her first business venture was in giftware as an importer and wholesaler of hand-made art glass. She owned and operated that company for over 10 years, before shifting direction into a consulting business. Today Maria continues to operate her educational consulting company, iSolve Consulting. She has been a guest speaker and trainer at many industry events, and is a contributing author with the Huffington Post. She is a passionate entrepreneur who understands the challenges of launching a new business. As a business consultant with the Self-Employment Program, Maria brings her energy and drive to help new entrepreneurs in the start of their business ventures. Maria holds a B.A in International Relations and is trained in collaborative conflict resolution and civil mediation, where she volunteers her time with a local restorative justice organization.
