CONNECTIONS

In response to the evolving situation with COVID-19, current CONNECTIONS program participants will continue to be supported through regular program staff. Future CONNECTIONS sessions are being postponed and we return to in-person classes when it is appropriate and safe to do so. Thank you for your patience during this unprecedented time. A Newcomer Employment Program

  Workplace Culture | Employment Preparation | Job Placement |Essential Skills

Program Highlights

  • 8 weeks in-class workplace skills training
  • 4 weeks of job placement & ongoing job support  
  • Industry-specific training and certificates
  • Canadian Workplace Culture 
  • Classmate support and an opportunity to build meaningful relationships 
  • Refreshment and transportation support provided

Program Eligibility

  • For ages 17 +
  • Permanent Resident, or person who has been granted refugee status in Canada
  • CLB2+ or LINC3
  • Unable to accept Canadian Citizens, temporary foreign workers, skilled immigrants, or refugee claimant who have not yet received a positive decision on their refugee status claim
