Since 2003, the Douglas College Training Group has been involved in all aspects of Essential Skills – from participation on advisory committees to leading projects, mentoring partners, setting up turn-key programs and developing Essential Skills curriculum for specific audiences.
With a strong in-house team of Essential Skills experts, the Training Group has delivered on provincial, national and international projects to diverse audiences including federal skilled workers (pre-arrival), newcomers to Canada, Aboriginal groups, industry (e.g., hospitality, retail, health, oil and gas), youth, older workers, apprentices, college students and multi-barriered clients.
