Step 4: Accept your audition offer.
Once we've received your audition package, we'll email you with an offer for the audition. Read everything in the package carefully and then reply as soon as possible confirm that you can make the appointment.  Please ensure that you are available for the entire day as there is a group workshop in the morning and then your audition in the afternoon.

Step 5: Prepare your two monologues.
One is required; one is your choice. Select and memorize ONE from the Audition Package – this is your required monologue. For information on the monologue of your choice, see the Individual Audition section below.

Audition Format

Group workshop: The Group Workshop takes place during the morning portion of the audition day.  You will work side by side with fellow program applicants in an acting and movement intensive that will help you prepare for your audition and help you get to know some of our faculty and other potential members of the ensemble. Wear clothing that will allow you to move freely and comfortably. Most of the workshop will be done in bare feet. Applicants must demonstrate a high degree of proficiency in the English language (comprehension, writing, and speaking).

Individual Audition: For your individual audition, you will perform TWO monologues and approximately 30 seconds of a song in front of the audition panel.  Keep in mind that the Audition Panel will be most interested in your ability to make the material meaningful and your own. Be honest and truthful. Pick something you feel is appropriate to your character, personality type, and age.  We ask you to steer clear of selecting your monologues from television shows or movies. Make selections from published plays.

Audition Panel

Members of the faculty who will be teaching in the program will sit on the Audition Panel. They will select those who show the most potential for successful completion of the program. We are unable to give specific feedback regarding your audition at any point during or following the audition.
