Douglas College > Programs & Courses > Faculties > Commerce and Business Administration > Economics > Economic Specializations for Degree Students
Gain an advantage in the discipline of Economics by specializing in one of Douglas College’s three field offerings.
The newly offered field specialties – Policy Analysis and Management, Global Banking and International Trade, and Theory and Quantitative Methods – provide the opportunity to enhance your degree with a focused study in a specific area of economics.
These four-course specialties are a component to existing degrees and require a minimum of two courses at the upper (3000 or 4000) level.
Taking one of these specialties will help demonstrate your level of knowledge and skills in economics to employers, giving you an advantage in an in-demand market.
If you are interested in pursuing further education in economics, all field specialty courses are transferable to universities.
