Instructor for Music Theory & Aural Skills Bootcamp
Victoria Zielke began her post-secondary music studies at Douglas College. Engagement in an aural skills elective, along with involvement in the Chorale, inspired interest and direction in pursuing a career in music education. Victoria completed her Bachelor’s Degree at the University of Victoria where she was an active member of the Student Music Education Association, serving in the capacities of treasurer and president. During her study time in Victoria, BC, Victoria was selected as “emerging artist” within the acclaimed women’s choir, Ensemble Laude, and worked as a worship intern at Emmanuel Baptist Church. Victoria recently completed her MMus degree in choral conducting at the University of Alberta. At UofA, Victoria taught first year aural skills; she also sang in the university’s Madrigal Singers. While Victoria currently teaches primary music at a private school, her future goal is to direct semi-professional community choirs and continue teaching aural skills.
