Gerard Rances


A graduate from VCC, Gerard holds a Bachelor’s of Applied Music in Classical Voice Performance. In addition to teaching vocal technique and performance in various styles, he is also well versed in teaching aural skills & ear training. For over a decade now, Gerard has prepared many students for RCM exams in music theory, history, and voice. He was the assistant director and head theory & history teacher at Bravo Music from 2016 to 2020. Between 2011 and 2014, Gerard was a tenor soloist for Pacific Spirit Choir and West Vancouver United Church. From 2008 to 2013, he was the official music tutor at Douglas College for aural skills, theory and history. This will be Gerard’s fourth summer teaching the theory & aural skills bootcamps.
