DOUGLAS COLLEGE CHOIRS
Community members are welcome to join any of the Music Department's Choirs, by audition, and sing alongside the students in the music program and the college at large.
CHORUS, the larger choir performs major works from the Western Classical repertoire in addition to shorter works of various styles. Its main focus is classical repertoire. Chorus performs once or twice per semester. Open by audition only - previous choral experience and the ability to read music is required.

Location: New Westminster Campus
Times: Tuesdays, 6:30 - 8:30 pm and occasional Wednesdays, 5:30 - 6:30pm
Fee: $95.00 + GST
CHORALE, a select chamber choir, performs music from a variety of genres and eras, focusing on classical repertoire, and including some jazz and folk song settings. In addition to scheduled performances at Douglas College, Chorale makes frequent trips to local high schools. Open by audition only - previous choral experience and the ability to read music is required.

Times: Mondays, 5:30 - 7:30 pm and Thursdays, 2:30 - 4:30 pm
BEGINNING CHORAL ENSEMBLE, is a group of novices and less experienced singers. The ensemble explores works across a wide variety of genres, and performs at least once per term. Music-reading ability is helpful, though not essential - simply a love for music and desire to sing!
