Course Description
The purpose of this course is to assist students in the planning and creation of a comprehensive range of Therapeutic Recreation services for a client group. Applying the Therapeutic Recreation process and quality management techniques, students will use the leisure ability model to develop, implement and evaluate a Therapeutic Recreation services plan.

Means of Assessment
This course will conform to Douglas College policy regarding the number and weighting of evaluations.
Evaluation is consistent with Douglas College Course Evaluation Policy. An evaluation schedule is presented at the beginning of the course.
This is a graded course.

Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:
- apply the therapeutic recreation process with groups to design and document a TR department
- create and document a comprehensive range of therapeutic recreation services for a client group
