Want to work on your personal wellness – in the great outdoors? Let’s go fishing! Join Douglas College Counsellors and the Freshwater Fisheries Society of BC for an interactive workshop on the banks of Lafarge Lake. Catch some calm while you learn:

• What fishing can do for your mental health

• How to fish, including casting and attaching lures

• How to identify different fish species

No experience required! All equipment will be provided.

To participate, you must be a current Douglas College student. You will also need a BC Recreational Freshwater Fishing License. Visit the Government of B.C.’s website for how to purchase one: https://www2.gov.bc.ca/gov/content/sports-culture/recreation/fishing-hunting/fishing/recreational-freshwater-fishing-licence

If the cost of a day license is a barrier, or if you have any questions, contact Dylan Le Roy, Clinical Counsellor, at leroyd@douglascollege.ca.
