New Dean of Commerce and Business Administration joins Douglas College

Douglas College will welcome Dr. Justin Williams as the new Dean of the Faculty of Commerce and Business Administration at the end of March.

“I am very pleased to welcome Justin Williams to Douglas College,” says Thor Borgford, Vice President, Academic and Provost. “His background and breadth of experience with domestic and international business programs make him a truly great fit for both the Faculty of Commerce and Business and the College.”   

Originally from the West Coast, Dr. Williams has been at Niagara College since 2015, most recently serving as Dean in the School of Business and Tourism. He previously held the positions of Director of Global Education and Partnerships, and Associate Dean in the School of Business and Management.

Dr. Williams’s previous experience also includes almost three years of teaching at Royal Roads University, as well as time in the Human Resources program at the School of Business at the College of the North Atlantic-Qatar, and as director of Student Services and Enrolment Management at the University of Calgary.

Dr. Williams holds a Ph.D. from Charles Sturt University in New South Wales, Australia, with a dissertation on the topics of job satisfaction, organizational commitment, and work values, with a focus on international human resources. He also holds an MBA from Royal Roads University and continues to publish in the field of leadership in higher education.
