Gift and Estate Planning

Gift and estate giving, also known as legacy or planned giving, continues to be the most beneficial way to not only to support students’ education at Douglas College but their wider communities as well. Through gift and estate giving, you can leave a lasting philanthropic legacy while realizing tax savings.

Bequest

Create a named fund or endowment in memory or in honour of a loved one to support a particular area of study or program by leaving a bequest in your Last Will and Testament.

RRSP, RRIF and pension

Name Douglas College as a beneficiary of your RRSP, RRIF or pension to support a program or purchase needed teaching equipment.

Other legacy options

There are many ways to leave a lasting legacy, from donating cash, stocks, bonds, mutual funds, term deposits, real estate and insurance.
